On October 24, 2024, an online lecture by Professor Majid Samii from the International Neuroscience Institute, Hanover, Germany, was held, which was actively attended by students of the International Faculty of XF-20-06 A,B,C of TMA.

Majid Samii heads the International Institute of Neurological Sciences (INI), located in a unique building designed in the shape of a human brain, and develops advanced medical technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the nervous system. Majid Samii received the award for his work in fundamental neurooncology, reconstructive neurosurgery and microneurosurgery using a modern high-tech complex of navigation and monitoring techniques. Now he trains young neurosurgeons and is president of the International Institutes of Neuroscience in Germany, China, Iran; President of the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Aid Foundation; Honorary Director of the Neurosurgical clinic of the Nordstadt Hospital in Hanover; Honorary President of the German Society for Skull Base Surgery; Honorary President of the German Society for Computer and Robotic Surgery.

   

The lecture in the webinar was devoted to the peculiarities of diagnostic and therapeutic tactics in patients with various complex neurosurgical diseases, in particular neurosurgery of neoplasms of the cranioorbital region.

At the end of the lecture, the professor answered a number of questions, in particular, students of the international faculty of the XF-20-06 group Akhil Singh and Joanna Kwon asked their questions.
