Students of Gomel Medical University (Belarus) visited the Department of Traumatology-Orthopedics, FS and Neurosurgery #2 of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

A delegation of five students was met at the door of the institute by the senior lecturer of the department Suvonov U.H. and escorted them to the territory of the department.

The head of the department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, I.E. Khujanazarov, welcomed the participants of the delegation and held a conversation with students, told about the history of the formation of the national school of Traumatology and orthopedics, about today’s activities and prospects for the future.

Together with the head of the department, I.E. Khuzhanazarov, the students were given a tour of the departments of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is the main base of the department. The students got acquainted with the work of the center and the department, participated in classes with national students.

This visit coincided with a visit to the department of Professor Zagorodny Nikolay Vasilyevich, head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics medical Faculty of RUDN, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences within the framework of the IX International Congress “Man and Health”. It is worth noting that Nikolai Vasilyevich kindly agreed to become a strategic partner of the department and expressed confidence in further fruitful cooperation between our universities.

Despite the fact that the students’ visit lasted only one day, it turned out to be eventful. The students of our universities were very pleased with the visit and promised not to lose contact with each other.

The visit ended with a short tour of the sights of Tashkent and, of course, a tasting of national cuisine.
